War is coming to GUNROX. We are getting closer to introduce the most significant clan update - WAR and diplomacy.
This update will allow clans to declare war one on another, form alliances and sign non-attack pacts. When in war state players of each clan can attack enemy clan members almost at any time! Weak clans who cannot withstand such a threat must seek protection from stronger clans and maybe provide contribution for their safety.
Stay tunned for this and other major clan updates to be released by the end of this year!

Of course, that might not always be the best way to retain your status - wouldn't that give you the now dreaded "War Deserter" rank?
How about Clan Leaders/War Advisors can mark a limited # of clan members ineligible for "war" battles? They cannot be attacked at any given time... but they can't attack others either.

That's not war. At war, no people are ignored. So if you want war - you will have war. If not - quit clan, war deserter have no penalty except inability to enter clan which you don't need anyway since you don't want war. And it will eventyally wears off anyway.

Questions about War Deserter Status:
1. Exactly how long does it last? I want to recruit someone from another clan.
2. Will you get war deserter status if the clan leader kicks you from the clan? If so then I think this is wrong. Why should someone receive a war deserter status for something outside his/her control? The clan leader could be a jerk like those leaders that want arts to enter the clan and then kick them 2 minutes later.
3. Is it possible for a player to see how long they have left remaining on their war deserter status? Not being able to see is really annoying and hampers planning ahead to join other clans.
4. Can I have the war deserter status removed from a certain player that did not know about this rule? I want to recruit him ASAP so we can start fame games. Berserker, PM me in game or via these forums to know who it is. I don't want to name any names on the forum.

Questions about the phasing out of Clan Perks:
If clan perks are to be removed, then what happens to clans that spend all or part of their clan perks to raise thier initial members to 11 to 14? What happens when the perks are removed and they still have their additional members in the clan? If they are randomly removed then will those members who are removed have a war deserter status applied?
