Hello,
Pressing F1 key to trigger the Gunblade's melee used to be much easier to use in the past, but now it's a bit buggy and inconsistent.
You can easily mess up if you don't do it slowly, like it's shown in this video:

It used to be so much faster/easier process few months back.

Yes after pressing F1 the cursor appears like If I was aiming in an empty box, although it’s right over the unit as it’s shown here:

In the past, as long as the cursor is over the unit, it used to constantly show the possible damage and accuracy values as it’s shown here:

Keep in mind that both screenshots was taken right after I pressed the F1 key, I hope that explains the issue.
