beacouse melee is very strong at low lvls due no one has stun resist trust me =)

Smg with machine guns isnt good. Why? You lose 40 weight when going for 14 ap. Machine guns are heavy so you will waste perks adding more weight when you could have added hp, resists or splash resistance. Also, if someone approaches you closely with a shotgun or melee weapon, you will be at a great disadvantage because smgs are mainly mid range weapons and not for close range. the damage will be less and you will be dead before your opponent because they will be doing significantly higher dmg with a shotgun or stunning you with a melee weapon.

The question posed should be "why does your assault guy need to come save your machine gun?" You simply add needless complication by hampering your machine gun with severely reduced weight and crappy close range. He should be able to protect himself. What if your assault rifle dies and the enemy rushes you with close range weapons? All of your units should have a balance of close and mid to long range guns. I would rather have a pipe or m4 on a m60 than an mp5. Logically speaking, it would benefit you more not to use smgs with machine guns. Weight requirements will waste perks.
